What is Pesara Digital?
Pesara Digital is a one-stop app for Malaysia's government retirees, developed in partnership with Persatuan Pesara Kerajaan Malaysia (PPKM). In it you can get rewards and vouchers, buy insurance, keep health records, use money calculators, check government aid, read PPKM news and alert your family in an emergency — all in one app.
Who can register?
Anyone — government retirees, their spouses, children and carers. You do not need a pension account number to register. When you register, choose your membership type: Retiree (Pesara), Family (Keluarga) or Carer (Penjaga).
Is Pesara Digital free?
Yes. Registering and using the app is free. Partner products — such as insurance — are paid directly to the partner concerned, and the price is shown clearly before you choose.
Is Pesara Digital the same as MyPesara (KWAP)?
No. Pesara Digital is not a KWAP app and is not linked to your pension account. It is an app of PPKM and its partners, offering extra services to retirees. Your pension information is not read, shown or stored in Pesara Digital.
Can I use the app in English?
For now the app is available in Bahasa Malaysia only. An English version will follow in a later phase.
Do I need to download the app from the Play Store or App Store?
No. Pesara Digital is not on the Play Store or App Store for now. It opens in your phone's web browser and can be downloaded to your home screen like any other app. See the "Downloading the app" section of this FAQ.
Is Pesara Digital a government app?
No. Pesara Digital is a private app developed in partnership with PPKM, an association of government retirees. It is not an app of KWAP, JPA or any government agency, and it is not linked to your pension account.
What can I do in Pesara Digital at this stage?
In the first phase you can: register and save your profile, register family members for SOS, receive a sign-up gift e-voucher, buy motor insurance and apply for SecureMas PA, record blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, medicines and appointments, use two money calculators, check the list of government aid and Unclaimed Money, read PPKM news and branch information, see prayer times and find nearby ambulances, hospitals and clinics. More features will follow in stages.
What does "Coming soon" (Akan datang) on some buttons mean?
That feature is still being built and is not available yet. The button stays on screen so you know what is on the way. We will let you know through the Inbox (Peti Masuk) and News (Berita) when it opens.
Does Pesara Digital need an internet connection?
Yes, for most things. Without internet you can still open SOS, send an alert SMS through your phone's own SMS app, and see the list of ambulances and hospitals already downloaded. Other pages show a "No connection" (Tiada sambungan) message until you are back online.
Registering and logging in
6 questions
How do I register?
Tap Start (Mula) on the opening screen. Enter your phone number, enter the 6-digit verification code sent by SMS, complete your profile (five details), then read and accept the Terms and Conditions. Done — you go straight to the Home (Utama) screen.
What information do I need to register?
Five details: your full name as on your identity card, your identity card number, date of birth, state and email address. Your pension account number and year of retirement are optional — the app works fully without them.
Why do you need my phone number?
Your phone number is used to send the verification code when you register and log in. It is not shared with anyone. There is no password — your phone number and the SMS code are how you sign in.
Do I need to log in every time I open the app?
No. Once you have logged in, you stay logged in on the same phone. The SMS code is only asked for again if you log out, change phones, or do not use the app for a long time.
Can someone else register for me?
A family member can help you fill in the details, but the SMS code is sent to your phone number and the account belongs to you. Never give the SMS code to anyone who contacts you.
Can I register a second account with another phone number?
No. One identity card number, one account. If you change phones, update your number in Profile (Profil) or contact us — your account stays the same.

SOS and family
5 questions
What does SOS do?
SOS tells the family members you have registered that you need help, and shows the emergency numbers and a list of nearby ambulances and hospitals. SOS is not connected to any emergency service and does not send an ambulance. In a real emergency, call 999.
How does SOS work?
Tap the red SOS strip on the Home (Utama) screen. A 10-second countdown starts — tap Cancel (Batal) if it was a mistake. After that, an alert SMS is sent to your registered family members, and the screen shows three choices: Dial 999 (Dail 999), Ambulance (Ambulans), and Hospitals and Clinics (Hospital dan Klinik).
How do I add a family member?
Open Profile (Profil), then Family Members (Ahli Keluarga), and tap Add family member (Tambah ahli keluarga). Enter their name, relationship and phone number (a Malaysian number). Turn on the Receive SOS alerts (Terima amaran SOS) switch so they are alerted in an emergency.
How many family members can I register?
Up to five people.
Do my family members need to download Pesara Digital?
No. They receive the alert by SMS on any ordinary phone. They can register as Family (Keluarga) members if they wish, but it is not needed for SOS.
Rewards
5 questions
What is Rewards (Ganjaran)?
Rewards (Ganjaran) is where partner vouchers and promotions are gathered for Pesara Digital members. Open the Rewards (Ganjaran) tab from the Home (Utama) screen.
How do I get a voucher?
New members automatically receive one FamilyMart RM 10 e-voucher as a sign-up gift — it appears straight away in Vouchers (Baucar) with the status Active (Aktif). There is nothing to claim. Show the barcode to the cashier at any FamilyMart outlet.
How do I use a voucher?
Open Vouchers (Baucar), choose your voucher and tap Open Voucher (Buka Baucar). The partner's page opens inside the app with a barcode. Show the screen to the cashier to scan. One voucher per transaction.
What is the sign-up gift?
Every new member automatically receives one FamilyMart e-voucher worth RM 10 as soon as they register, while stocks last. The voucher appears in Vouchers (Baucar) with the status Active (Aktif).
If I delete my account and register again, do I get another voucher?
No. The sign-up gift is given only once for each identity card number.
Insurance

What insurance is available in Pesara Digital?
Two products from Lonpac Insurance Bhd: Motor Insurance (Private Car Secure — Comprehensive) and SecureMas PA, personal accident insurance for seniors.
Who is the insurer? Is Pesara Digital an insurance company?
Cover is provided by Lonpac Insurance Bhd, which is licensed under the Financial Services Act 2013, regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia and a member of PIDM. Pesara Digital is not an insurer and does not process claims — we introduce these products to you.
How do I buy motor insurance?
Open Insurance (Insurans), choose Motor Insurance (Insurans Motor) and tap Get a Quote (Dapatkan Sebut Harga). The app tells you that you are going to Lonpac's site, then Lonpac's official page (in Bahasa Malaysia) opens in your phone's browser. Enter your vehicle registration number and identity card number, get an instant price and pay Lonpac directly.

Open Insurance (Insurans), choose SecureMas PA, pick the plan you are interested in and send the short enquiry form — your name, phone number and plan. Our team or Lonpac will contact you to complete the application and payment.
How do I make a claim?
Claims are made directly with Lonpac. The product documents in the app (the Motor Claims Guide and Motor FAQ; the SecureMas policy) explain the steps. Pesara Digital does not process claims.

Safety
4 questions
How do I know an SMS really is from Pesara Digital?
Our SMS messages come from the sender name PesaraD and never contain links. We never ask for passwords, bank PINs or card details by SMS. If in doubt, ignore the SMS and contact us through the WhatsApp button in the app.
Will Pesara Digital ever call and ask for my SMS code?
No. The SMS code is for you alone and will never be asked for by anyone from Pesara Digital, PPKM, a bank or the police. Anyone who asks for it is a scammer.
Someone contacted me claiming to be from Pesara Digital and asked for payment.
Pesara Digital never asks for payment by call or message, and no payments are made in the app at this stage — insurance premiums are paid directly to Lonpac. Do not make any transfer; report it to the National Scam Response Centre on 997 and let us know.
How do I make sure I am opening the real Pesara Digital site?
Our official website is pesaradigital.com. The app address will be announced on this website when it launches; any other address claiming to be Pesara Digital is not ours. Check the address at the top of your browser before entering your phone number.
